POLICIES & PROCEDURES FOR DANCERS/FAMILY
A $25 registration fee is charged every year during Fall enrollment.
Our normal dance season runs from September through the end of June.
Our recital will be held in May. Tickets have assigned seats.
We offer a 4-week summer session that runs in July.
All families are required to enroll in Auto Pay for monthly tuition.
Tuition payments are processed on the first of every month.
A $10 late fee will be automatically added to the account if tuition is more than 7 days late. Tuition paid more than a month late will incur a $25 late fee. These fees will automatically be added to the account and charged upon payment for tuition.
You must change/withdraw your enrollment prior to the first of the month. If notice is given after tuition is ran, you will not be reimbursed for the remaining classes in that month.
Enrollment closes effective January 1. Costumes and recital preparations typically occur during this time. Additionally, skills and technique will have been taught since September, so students who join late in the season will be behind. Out of fairness to our students and teachers, it is important to begin as early in the season as possible.
Dancers must have their hair pulled back at all times.
Dancers must wear appropriate shoes for each class (i.e., ballet shoes for ballet class, tap shoes for tap, etc.).
Dancers should be in activewear/dance clothing. Any dancer who arrives in street clothes/jeans/etc. will not be permitted to join in class.
Dancers who need assistance using the restroom must always have a parent or guardian present. It is not the responsibility of the teacher or assistant to aid in bathroom routines.
Dancers should remain in the lobby until their teacher opens the studio door and invites the class in. Additionally, if a studio is not being occupied and/or the door is closed, parents/guardians and dancers shall not enter or occupy that space.
Soles Dance Academy follows the South Kingstown School District Holiday Calendar. Our Holiday and Vacation Closures can be found on our website.
Classes cancelled due to snow, power outages, and other environmental occurrences will not be made up or rescheduled. Classes cancelled due to staffing issues will be rescheduled and made up.
Makeup classes are not offered for student absences. This is to ensure appropriate class size ratios and overall consistency.
